Syte and the Sound are a six piece band from Bristol (UK). Their music is a refreshing, eclectic mix of trip-hop, hip-hop, electronica, rock, soul, and a dash of many other genres. They seamlessly combine traditional band instrumentation with the creative freedom of samples and synthesizers complimented by conscious, powerful rap lyricism with soulful, impassioned singing.

In 2009 Venue Magazine:
“Syte and The Sound: They got a thing; not everyone’s got a thing. Of all the acts claiming to dynamically meld genres, few actually achieve it. Smart MCing tops rocked out guitars, crashing drums, low-slung funk bass and brilliantly sweeping electronic orchestration.”

Mad Mechanics
“The day the drum n bass junky met the strummin drunk minstrel”. Mad Mechanics are a 2-man mashup infusing a manic layering of raw poetry and the natural beauty of the guitar, with the versatile digitality of the keys and verbal percussion, accompanied by the soulful splendor of the harmonica
